Through collaboration with Conybear and Morrison architects, this fence was designed for The Scotts College. Elements for the design were taken from the existing school gates. The old fencing was of a very ordinary design as well as not being Building Code compliant . The 'arrow' head details on the top and intermediary rails were 'fire-welded'. The scrolls were screwed to the main uprights in a traditional fashion. With no visible welding the end result is timeless. A proud architectural addition to the heritage school.
The work was galvanized, 'dressed' and painted in a two pack epoxy paint system in the school's blue colour. |
