For a succession of years Wrought Artworks had the contract to replace over 150 meters of this historic, institutional fencing around the perimeters of Centennial Park.
In keeping with the original installation methods, the plynth was core-drilled with oversize holes to accept the pickets and moulten lead poured in to fix them as well as reducing corrosion. The lead is tampered down using punches.
The top rail has punched holes in which the pickets pass through. A small pin through the post supports the railing. |
